About the campaign

Many children and adults will be too sick or severely injured to be at home with loved ones this Christmas. Instead, Christmas will be spent in a hospital ward, operating theatre, or the emergency department.

When children and adults are really sick, Gold Coast Hospital Foundation steps in to fund the very best equipment, hospital facility improvements and vital support services to give them a fighting chance at life. This Christmas, the Foundation is calling on the community, people just like you, to decorate the virtual Giving Tree to help critically sick patients like Sky.

Choose as many festive decorations as you wish, including hanging baubles, Santa heads, gifts under the tree or the shining star. By decorating the virtual Christmas Giving Tree, you will be raising vital funds to support thousands of patients in hospital over the Christmas holidays.

The best gift you can give this Christmas is a donation.

How it works

  • Choose your decorations
  • Make your donation (and leave a message if you wish)
  • Invite your family and friends to decorate the tree

About Gold Coast Hospital Foundation

Gold Coast Hospital Foundation is a local, community-minded health charity committed to helping children and adults across the Gold Coast receive the best health care when it’s needed most.

The Foundation relies on donations from people and businesses in the community to fund the delivery of vital extras that would not otherwise be available and in many cases improve patient care, early diagnosis, provide enhanced treatment options and family support.

These vital support programs include:

  • Patient transport services for cancer and renal patients
  • Emergency accommodation to support families of patients in all critical care units
  • Purchasing lifesaving medical equipment
  • Improving hospital facilities and patient spaces
  • Funding hospital-led health research
  • Providing scholarships for Gold Coast Health staff

The Foundation supports patients and their families at Gold Coast University Hospital, Robina Hospital, Varsity Lakes Day Hospital, Robina Health Precinct, Southport Health Precinct and all Gold Coast community health centres.
